Hin Daeng & Hin Muang Dive Sites

These sites can be visited by liveaboard vessels that depart from Phuket and day trip boats that depart from Koh Lanta.

Hin Daeng

Depth of 0 – 60 m. Hin Daeng is about 64 km from Phuket and is one of the best dive sites in Thailand. The massive pinnacle rises only a few meters above the surface of the water but drops down nearly vertically to a depth of up to 60 m on the south west side. The wall is covered with colourful soft coral and is inhabited by a variety of fish species. Here you will see big schools of barracudas and tuna as well as leopard sharks, whale sharks and manta rays.

Hin Muang

Depth 9 – 70 m. Located just a few hundred meters from Hin Daeng this site consists of a 200 m long and 20 m wide rock that is completely submerged and covered in purple soft corals. The shallowest part of the rock is at about 9 m and drops down to over 70 m. Here you will find all the same marine life as Hin Daeng and these sites rival anything you can see in the Similans.
